Located in Bundaberg, and close to the wonderful beaches at Bargara we have access to some of the best shore diving in Queensland with wonderful hard and soft corals on the shoreline. Lying three miles out to sea in the Great Sandy Straights Marine Park is the Cochrane Artificial Reef. The reef comprises of 7 ship wrecks and 3 aeroplanes and numerous other items. Started by the Bundaberg and District Artificial Reef Association in about 1990, is still growing with more items planed for sinking. Bundaberg Dive Academy was formed by 2 PADI Course Directors and recently joined with the 3D Adventures group with dive centres all the way from the Gold Coast to Cairns. We have on staff 2 PADI Course Directors A Master Instructor and 2 Staff Instructors. Our highly experienced staff are specialists in developing and advancing your dive skills. For the recreational diver we offer PADI Open Water, Advanced, Rescue, First Aid, Master Scuba Diver and 14 of the PADI specialities. For those wishing to Advance there diving knowledge and skills to professional level we offer PADI Dive Master ,First Aid Instructor, PADI Dive Instructor, Speciality Instructor and Staff Instructor. We offer custom designed career development packages to take you from Open Water Diver to Dive Master or Instructor and beyond. |

Our purpose designed and custom built dive vessel ‘Fish Tales’ departs daily for offshore adventures, wreck diving the Artificial Reef or diving the amazing coral, closer inshore. With our combined experience, we believe we offer quality training and diving in one of Australia’s least appreciated areas.
Bundaberg is located 5 hours drive north of Brisbane with regular coach and tilt train service’s. Air travel is also possible to Bundaberg with Qantas link from Brisbane.. Accommodation is easy to find and ranges from Backpacker hostels to Resort style right on the beach. |
