Enriched Air Nitrox Speciality

Previously considered to be reserved for tech divers, different gas mixtures are now available to recreational divers. Primarily used between 16 and 30 metres to extend bottom time, and decrease nitrogen absorption. EANx is now commonly available at most dive venues. The course consists of 2 dives, which can be done in combination with other skills if the theory has been completed in advance. This means you can combine this with another course if you wish to double your pleasure.

 

The course covers more advanced dive planning for gas mixtures between 22 and 40% oxygen, physiological effects of oxygen under pressure, equipment considerations and how to measure the oxygen mix practically.

 

Add this one to your skills selection and you can enjoy longer dives and/or better repetitive dive times at the mid range depth levels.
