Search and Recovery Speciality

Anything that weighs over 4 kg should be raised with a lift bag, this avoids uncontrolled ascents if you drop the item. Whether it’s buried treasure, boat anchors or weight belts that have been dropped, you will learn the techniques to safely return the objects to the surface.

 

The course has 4 dives, and aside from lift bags it also looks at how to coordinate an effective search in different environments. Safety is also a major consideration since dropped objects always seem to be in the most awkward places.
